Mindfulness Lifestyle
You may be asking what exactly is mindfulness? A simple answer is when we are able to pay attention to what’s going on in the present moment without judging it as either good or bad.
Mindfulness practices can benefit:
Anxiety and depression
Grief and loss
Stress and weight management
Major life transformations
Trauma
Physiological symptoms
Sleep issues
Addiction recovery
Through mindfulness we learn to feel the pain without the suffering. Mindfulness often focuses on increasing calm awareness of your own thoughts and experiences of the moment.
I incorporate mindfulness practices in a variety of ways when we work together, to be applied in countless variations.
Grounding. A type of meditation that helps put you back in touch with the preset moment by focusing attention on the physical world around you.
Mindful breathing. Designed to help you focus on your breath by counting or saying ‘in/out’ to reduce your body’s stress responses.
Body scan. Where you carefully imagine each part of your body in order to gain awareness of your physical existence and sensory experiences.
Visualization. Imagining your thoughts as clouds or your breath in colorful lights, or visualizing each of your stressors traveling away from your brain into a vessel of your choice.
Meditations. This is the core of the mindfulness practices. I will guide you in a series of meditations that are crafted just for you to guide you to your truth.
