Health and Happiness

Along with grief comes a range of complex emotions – sadness, loneliness, anger and even numbness, oftentimes creating an overwhelming sense of loss and emptiness. In these moments, food can be confused with love, and will even offer temporary solace from the pain.

Emotional eating can become a coping mechanism and a way to seek comfort in the midst of emotional turmoil and feelings stemming from lack of control.

You may find yourself:

  • turning to certain foods that evoke nostalgic or comforting memories,

  • eating as a need to soothe your emotional wounds, rather than a means to nourish your body,

  • turning to food to provide a sense of control in your world that feels terribly out of control,

  • having little energy to prepare healthy meals, while giving into food cravings, and;

  • struggling with guilt and shame around lifelong body image issues.

As an Integrated Institute of Nutrition© certified health coach and former emotional eater with life-long body image issues, I am qualified to guide you in developing a deep awareness of your emotional triggers and in exploring alternative coping mechanisms that promote true healing, nourishment and weight stability.

Once and for all, you will finally:

  • lose weight without dieting,

  • end emotional eating, while enjoying foods you love,

  • work through guilt and shame around body image issues,

  • redefine old limiting beliefs,

  • implement self-care rituals, and;

  • transition from weight loss failures and negativity to believe in yourself and your success.
